Overall my experience was good, a borderline 5 star. There are a lot of dessert options like cakes and some pastries (mostly sweet too). The onion and cheese pastry tasted well. Maybe I would prefer a bit more filling and slightly crunchier pastry but it was still good. Note that the prices are fairly high

Tartine Bakery is a cute shop with a great vibe, perfectly situated in a lively area near Mission Dolores Park. While everything on display looked delicious, the morning bun is an absolute standout. I was honestly amazed at how good it was - incredibly fresh, soft, and flavorful in a way you wouldn't expect. A good tip is that while the seating is limited, it's generally sufficient for a cafe of its size and it wasn't overly crowded during my visit. For anyone visiting San Francisco, I would highly recommend a stop here, especially for the morning buns. It’s a genuinely delightful experience.

Anything that we got was great. All the sandwiches have house made breads; highly recommended. Also they have great pastry and deserts and also coffee. All good. There is long waiting time and not enough seat. But you can take away and enjoy the food at Dolores park.

amazing cakes and other desert here- we tried almost everything and they all soooo good. The almond tart was incredible - lots of flavors that work together but not too sweet. Sourdough is also amazing here - got a couple of options but the buttermilk is supposed to be best and quickest sell so you have to be here early to get it Chocolate cake is all right, a bit too sweet and heavy for our liking.

The bread was excellent. I wish I had come earlier to try it fresher, but it was great. I did also order a vegan pastry option, although it was slightly less interesting than the bread itself. It's great to have vegan stuff on the menu, but I'd hope it is at par or above every other non-vegan food surrounding it. It fell a bit short for me, even if there is a high bar.

Soooo yummy pastries and morning sandwiches. We got morning bun , breakfast sandwich and grilled cheese with Gruyère cheese and all were tasty. Final we got the lattes. If you are in SF area definitely stop here to get one of their pastries or sandwiches. Next time I will try their cake and tarts too.

Fantastic pastries and great location. The almond croissant was perfect and unlike any I have had before. Not too sweet and didn’t taste of artificial almond, which is extremely rare to find. The plain croissant was luxurious and everything you want a croissant to be. The morning bun was soft and had a hint of orange, which was a nice surprise. We came in on a Thursday morning around 10:30am and seating was pretty tight, but eventually a spot opened up. Will definitely be back.
